Our latest creations…

We still have some bits left over from last years MudPud Christmas Craft kit!!! Emily thought these jewels would look good on a crown, so i cut out the shape from foam and she had great fun decorating it.

Emily’s crown

This is my latest creation for the baby (not that s/he will be remotely interested for ages but it’s a good excuse!) It is lovely and squishy :o) I am about to start a “Mermaid” doll for Emily using a kit i got from Weir Dolls.

There is a merger taking place at Mick’s work which means he almost certainly won’t be getting the company car he was promised :o( which really upsets our plans. Somehow i am going to have to take him to work before i drop emily off at nursery. Nothing ever runs smoothly does it???

Still, that is the least of our worries. Just hope he still has a job to be taken to!

just thought i’d post a quick update on the driving. Well…..it’s going OK! I had my third lesson this morning (at 8am!!!! I thought there was only one 8 o’clock in the day) and feel i have progressed loads since my first lesson on Saturday.

The instuctor didn’t quite know what to expect from me when he found out i had passed my test but hadn’t driven in 12 years, so i told him to treat me as a complete learner (i wasn’t sure how much i would remember). I was quite rusty to start with but improved quite quickly as more kept coming back to me. My biggest problem is still my confidence. This morning i felt confident enough to do anything the instuctor suggested, including going on the dual carriageway and i coped ok – no panic attacks, lol. However, that is mainly because i am in a learner car, with an instuctor who has a brake infront of him if he needs to use it! I am a complete nervous wreck in our car :o/

Well i only have two more lesson booked (4hrs total) but think i may need some more, we’ll see how it goes. He is taking me on the motorway next lesson – eek.

Feels like i have been offline for ages. I am so behind with my blog reading, feel really out the loop.

Emily had her first ballet lesson yesterday and loved it so i guess it becomes a regular thing now. She also has her first trial day at the Montessori in less than two weeks – eek. She cannot wait to go. I am worrying myself silly about driving her there. I have my first driving lesson in 12 years tomorrow morning and feel throughly sick at the thought. It will either make me feel a lot happier or a lot worse depending on how much i can remember. My lack of confidence is my biggest downfall but this will only come with time and practise…i can put it off no longer :o/

We Got Married!!!.

In August we decided, quite suddenly, (if that is possible after nine years together) to finally get married. Neither of us wanted a big bash so thought a month would be plenty of time to organise everything, but soon realised we had to get a wriggle on…hence the lack of posts!

We were blessed with a beautiful day (though it did mean we were squinting on most of the photos) and despite a stressful morning (me not liking what they did to my hair, going to collect the flowers and being greeted with “What, for today??” and Emily having a major meltdown 15mins before i was due at the registry office) it all went swimmingly from arrival at the Registry office onwards – phew! Oh and despite my worries my dress did still fit over my bump, just.

Mick thinks he looks like William Hague in this photo!!
