Today was a truly beautiful day, blue skies and sunshine *so* glad we were able to spend the morning in the garden with friends :o)

Afternoon was ballet and then play in the park afterwards. The journey home was rather fraught. Emily got herself worked up in a right tizzy. It has been brewing for a number of weeks and basically it all seems to stem from her best friend starting big school this term. She feels upset about it (naturally) and angry. She doesn’t want to feel angry at her friend but ends up doing so (inwardly) because she doesn’t know how to deal with it and then ends up feeling rotten for feeling that way! I’ve tried talking to her about it but she is hell bent on blaming herself for being “rotten” (her words) :o(

  1. That’s a difficult situation for a young child to be in – I hope that you both find a way to work through it.
